Cool Claws fit drum hoops 3/8" thick (or less) 

 

Cool Claws require new tension rods (3" long work for most drums) and a drum key with a reach of 1 3/4" to install (available at your local musical instrument dealer)

 

To be exact, measure the distance from the front edge of the drum hoop to the T-Rod entrance point on the drum lug and minus 3/4"

 

 

We recommend a gibraltar drill bit key, which works in any screwdriver that allows for bit changing
